I started dancing because all of my friends were taking a dance class so naturally I just had to do what they were doing. Little did I know that almost 17 years later I would be pursuing this as my career while all of my friends are no longer involved in the dance world. I stuck it through some rough times as a dancer and that has shaped me into the artist I am today.  

            As an artist I strive to work in ways that challenge myself and the dancers around me. I create solely on what I feel at that very moment which gives my work an edge to it I wouldn’t be able to capture otherwise. It is important to myself as a choreographer to experiment with different performing venues and styles to keep my work fresh and always evolving.

Perhaps the most important thing to me as an artist is that I want to give back and share this art with as many people as I can. whether that is teaching and inspiring the next generation or sharing my works with anybody and everybody who wants to be a part of it. I want to create work and perform work that means something to not only myself, but also anybody who is watching. I want to reach out and give the option to dance to somebody who wouldn't normally have the opportunities that I have been blessed with in the last several years. Dance is an art that gives back so much more than what you put in to it.
